Do you have a passion for the marine environment and the amazing creatures that live in it? Want to get involved in a community science project to help monitor a critically important species in the Salish Sea? Hakai Institute is looking for volunteer help from the qathet community to collect valuable data on baby Dungeness crabs using light traps.
If you enjoy getting your hands wet and would like to engage with other community scientists and volunteer to help monitor the life found in your local waters, we would love to hear from you! Light trap monitoring will begin April 15th 2023 and run until September. Equipment, training and support will be provided throughout!
